Cookie Policy

What identifiers ChatLesh stores on your device and on our website — and why.

This page explains what identifiers ChatLesh stores on your device. "Cookies" is the common term, but in a mobile app the technology is slightly different — we've grouped everything under one policy for transparency.

1.The Mobile App

ChatLesh does not use HTTP cookies inside the mobile app. Instead, we store certain information locally on your device — this is required for the app to function.

1.1 What we store locally

Language preference
Your chosen app language (default: device locale)
Notification prefs
Which notification categories you have enabled (chat, follow, view, call)
Default translation language
The target language for chat translation
Location heartbeat throttle
Timestamp of last background location refresh (max once per 5 min)
Fallback device UUID
Generated locally, used for fake-account detection if Android ID is not stable
Onboarding progress
Which onboarding steps you've completed
Per-chat UI state
Which "Bilgilendirme" banners you have dismissed inside each chat

1.2 Third-party SDK identifiers

Third-party SDKs bundled in the app may store technical identifiers on your device:

Firebase Installation ID
Randomised token used by Firebase Messaging (push notifications) and Analytics
FCM push token
Delivered to Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send you push notifications
Google Play Services / Play Integrity
Anonymous device-integrity attestation, required by App Check
Google AdMob
Ad identifier used to serve non-personalised ads to non-premium users. You can reset it in Settings → Google → Ads.
Google Sign-In
OAuth session tokens for your Google account authentication

2.The Website (chatlesh.com)

Our website is intentionally lightweight. On its own it does not set tracking cookies. It loads Google Fonts (Inter) over HTTPS, which will make a network request to Google — but no cookie is set by the font request.

If we add analytics in the future we will update this page and, where required, present a consent banner before any tracking script loads.

3.Your Controls

  • Delete local app data: Android → Settings → Apps → ChatLesh → Storage → Clear data. Note this will sign you out.
  • Uninstall the app: removes all local data.
  • Reset advertising ID: Android → Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID.
  • Delete your account: see the Data Deletion page.
